公元2075年，人類突破了空間跳躍技術的瓶井開始步入大宇航時代。男主角荊澤作為戰爭遺孤被當時的軍政府收容並被送往宇宙軍事學院進行培養。原本只是打算胡混日子的他卻因為導師是學院中被視為異類的導師傑而聲名遠揚，但卻也因為他的另類導師而遭到流放。幾經打擊的荊澤最終決定依靠自己在學院內所學到的知識開始奮起，可是地球聯邦與堪藍帝國的戰爭開始，僅僅幾天的時間地球聯邦便宣布戰敗，因戰敗而被編入帝國軍的荊澤在執行一次特殊任務時了解到了迷之文明AIR的存在，從此他的人生開始走上了一條不尋常的道路……
